The process works as follow:.

-The Aqua Matrix system works first. It contains a 5 micron activated carbon matrix for sediment, dirt, rust, scale removal; Chlorine, Chloramine, Chlorine dioxide removal; and First-pass organic particle reduction. Varying filtration systems are utilized.

- Following is the reverse osmosis process. The RO Membrane is a Thin Film Composite (TFC) semi-permeable membrane (DOW Polyamide). The RO mmbrane Removes/reduces all categories of impurities and contaminants except VOC’s, DBP’s (50%), has suspended inorganics and organics removal, performs Dissolved inorganics and organics reduction, performs microbe reduction. It also contains a self-cleaning configuration using automatic cross flow rinse water.

-Following reverse osmosis is the post filter. This is a 1 Micron compressed activated coconut shell carbon block which   performs, DBP’s and VOC’s reduction, Taste and odor refinement and polishing. This process performs effective removal of all common synthetic and volatile organics, disinfectants, pharmaceutical drugs, personal care products, disinfection by-products, radioactivity, microbes, and all inorganics.                                      

THE PURIST FEATURES- The Purist RO System features a tankless design for the highest quality water. Pure drinking water can be stored in glass (recommended) containers for drinking later. The hardware is the best available, such as the TFC membrane and the compressed coconut-shell carbon postfilter. The Purist RO membrane is capable of producing thousands of gallons of water before being replaced.
